Kyoto International School

Kyoto International School is most fortunate to be able to draw upon the expertise and guidance of a committed group of Executive Board Members and a Board of Trustees.

Our Trustees will “guard the soul” of the institution and hold in trust, the core values. Every Trustee has a responsibility to promote the mission of KIS. Trustees meet at least twice a year, both in the fall and spring. The number of Trustees is to be at least double that of the Executive Board.
A smaller group of 6-10 Executive Board members meet each month. The Executive Board plays a more “hands-on” role. They are responsible for setting strategic goals and approving policy which the school management is charged with implementing.
