Homework is an important part of learning in Middle School, as it is a necessary strategy for consolidation and further reflection, and an opportunity to clarify new knowledge, skills and understanding. The focus is on the quality, not the quantity of homework. Time management is an important skill that is fostered and developed throughout the time students spend at KIS. Students should also set aside time for the planning and organization of upcoming events, tasks and commitments. Student agenda’s are used as a tool to assist students in independently managing their time. Parents are encouraged to take an active interest in the way their child is completing homework and study habits. This could involve helping set up a suitable work environment, encouraging disciplined use of time and minimizing distractions
