How to get to KIS from JR Kyoto Station
By Bus
Take the #9 express bus from JR station. You can catch it on the north side from platform B1. Get off at Horikawa Nakadachiuri which is the next stop after Horikawa Shimodachiuri. It takes about 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. You can see the school from the bus stop. You can walk through the 100 parking lot and enter the big white gates. Walk through the white gates and enter the building with the blue and yellow checkered door.
By Taxi
If you take a taxi from Kyoto JR station, it will cost about 1500 yen.
By Car
If you come by car the front gate is the East Gate (shown on the street view image below). This is a one-way drive. Go south on the first road west of Horikawa. This is a very small road only 20 meters along Nakadachi-uri. The school has limited parking for visitors. Cars exit from the West Gate.
